However, I will stick to my guns regarding the songs I like on the riddim. I still give the riddim to Swappi. I do so not because his lyrics are the best but simply because his singing style, in my opinion, sounds best with the riddim. In term of lyrics Bunji is the man and he is my all time favorite artist... bar none! Damn, every time I listen to Touchless it seems to sound better! I also like the track by Deuce Man (Squeeze De Ting).
I must say that, from what I have read, Bunji seems to be on the lips of just about everyone for his work on this riddim. Almost everyone, who initially said "Swappi take the riddim" are changing their tune and are now crowning Bunji as 'the man' on the riddim. I will not argue with that because Bunji is my favorite artist. However, I always like to go with first impression and will remain with my original choice.
The other song that is getting good ratings is the one by KES The Band. I don't reall feel that song but the masses are going with it. I also realize that most people are going with teh big name singers in order Bunji, KES and Swappi! I still say Deuce has a wicked track on the riddim and people should take a second listen. On the island of St. Vincent, I am sure the people will be saying Fya Empress 'mash up the riddim' - that is just the way it is with Caribbean music!
