Here is something different for Crop Over 2012; the name of the track is titled "Zouk Wid Me". When I initially saw the title of the track I wondered, "is this really a Zouk track being released for Crop Over 2012"? After all Zouk music has always been associated with the French speaking countries of Martinique and Guadeloupe and even Dominica and St. Lucia but Barbados? I was curious and took a listen - I like it!
This is Zouk music but the theme is the same as it is for Soca. The song is about dancing and having a good time. The tempo is not fast paced but has a steady pace that most party lovers would enjoy in any fete. So come Zouk with Mr. DJ for Crop Over 2012 - all he is asking for is a 'dancing partner'!
