Don't Stay Away/Tuesday On The Rocks | Phyllis Dillon/KES

Recently I featured the song 'Tuesday On The Rocks' by KES the band. This song is really sweet but the original 'riddim' for the song came from a recording done by Phyllis Dillon out of Jamaica. The song, 'Don't Stay Away' is on an album titled Midnight Confessions with the tracks on the set recorded sometime between 1967 - 1971. Special thanks to "BFFan" for posting the YouTube link to the song on islandmix.com.

Today I am re-posting 'Tuesday On The Rocks' by KES the band with the original song by Phyllis Dillon to accompany the song by KES.  The original riddim is really nice but after listen to it (the original track) you will appreciate the excellent job done by Kes in bringing back this riddim with a really sweet revamping of the original rhythms. I just love the use of the guitar picks at the end of 'Tuesday On The Rocks'!
