Now that the SOCA frenzy has passed and most of the radio stations have turned on the Soca switch we have to ask ourselves if our artistes deserve this disservice. It was OK a few days ago to saturate the airways with our Sweet Soca Music but all of a sudden the music has soured - what a shame (program directors should be ashamed)! What a disservice to our music producers and all the singers out there. Listen to "We Love Song" by KES the Band and realise we have great music for all seasons!

Now to the business at hand. KES the band released a song last year titled Weekend Love song that went under the radar. The song is a production of Kes, Madmen Productions and Mario Callender. Now we have a remix version that was done by Madmen Productions and Diisimo @ Harmony Hall Studios. This version of the song has mass market appeal. I like the vibe of the song and it show that we not only have the talent but the music to make it big in the North American market. Weekend Love Song (the remix) has a nice 'highway drive' feel and I do believe that this one will go over extremely well in the club scene.
I really like the way Kes voice sounds on this track and it truly showcases his talent as a singer and versatile artiste. The production team did a wonderful job with this remix. I found myself playing the song over and over again... why? Com on friends it is Friday night and the weekend is here. Yes, it is time for some Weekend Love and a Weekend Love Song sounds just right!
