Carnival 2012 will surely be remembered for the amount of music released. Now even though it is one of the best years for Calypso all of that has been overshadowed by the new fusion music that the young music producers have been unleashing day after day. One Riddim that was released early (Antilles Riddim by Precision Production) has one track that has wheeled and come back again to rule the roost - every 'bacchanalist' knows the song that I am referencing here and if you don't, then where have you been lately?
Everyone has their favorite but you would have to be out of your mind if you didn't realize that this is the year of Precision Production; but to be more precise, this year the anthem of the Carnival is "Baccahanalist".

Every Trinidadian is a Baccahanalist and this one will surely be the anthem that most of the revelers will demand. Those of you who expect Machel Montano to sweet are in for a rude awakening as this song by Kerwin regains momentum and begins to create havoc in the fetes all over Trinidad and Tobago.

Let me go on record and state that this song will win the Groovy Soca Monarch Competition for Carnival 2012. I will be shocked if it does not. Not only has the song taken hold of the fetes and radio play but everyone is a 'Bacchanalist'. The original song released on the Antilles Riddim has done extremely well and then came the official video release that gave the song an extra push... but there is more! Indeed watch as Bacchanalist becomes the 'Song of the Year' for Carnival 2012!

Today they released the official Road Mix for Bacchanalist. The remix was done by Precision Production but with Kerwin Du Bois (also a music production brain) working with Kasey Phillips and his team to get the right mix to wet down the crowd.

Now everyone is experimenting with this song and on YouTube I found one that I liked and decided to add it to this post. This is a Bad Company Remix with the original Bacchanalist Super Blue swinging around the corner jumping and trampling everything in his path in support of Kerwin; this one sweetly falls under the banner of Bacchanalist perfection! The adventure features Kerwin Dubois and Super Blue. I liked it and I am very confident that you will too.
