"RD Riddim" | Precision Productions

There is an important message in this post - don't hate the messenger; pay attention to the message! I first listened to the Super Jigga song on this riddim and one thing I caught on to very early in the song - this is the year of the drum and baseline. This music will surely have you moving and dancing to the beat but...
I did not continue with my thought process there for fear that my opinion will not be well received in certain circles. However, when the second song by Jahmoun started I got this feeling in my stomach that I had to say what I really wanted to say... what has happened to the rest of the instrumentation for these songs? Oh I see, they passed  a new law that banned the use of traditional instruments for the new age music!

Is it true that they banned lead guitars and brass from the new music produced in sweet TnT? I don't get it... Why are these producers making music that is so club oriented? Come on guys this 'new music' will become very stale, very quickly!

Hello... does it sound good? Yes it does (for now) but have you guys thought about 'replay worthiness and lasting appeal' after the carnival is over? I will not even venture into the vocal performances or lyrics - been there don't that already.

I do get the concept of the riddim thing but what would it take you guys to add some other instruments to the music and really add some musicality to the songs... well!?!? One last comment on this offering and it has to do with the graphic design that accompanied the music release - it is really good!

So what is the bottom line for these four songs? Yes people (young people) will jam to these songs before and during the carnival... then what? What happens after the Carnival is over?

Please be advised that the music is presented here for your listening pleasure and for promotional purposes only ("Fair Use" Musical Content Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976). Lend me your ears... Enjoy!
