Welcome to the Pappyshow... Lord have mercy, this music is an absolute bacchanal riddim. It is musically fullfilling and lyrically full of 3canal 'rapso-edification'. I could not find a word to describe how mind boggling the lyrical content of the song is so I created my own word to describe this musical journey put together by team 3Canal.
If you are not used to listening to 3Canal then this song is like a gust of wind catching you off guard and pushing you to the ground. When you do pull yourself together it is already too late... you are immersed in a tantalizing stream of music that fills the area between your ears creating a melodious harmony that entices you to dance and move like you never did before. I guess one can only surmise that it is undeniably the signature sound of 3Canal.
That is the power and the magic of 3Canal music. It is different, it is magical and it will captivate you and make you a soldier in the religion of 3Canal music-mania. When Bunji Garlin says Madderific maybe, just maybe he was referencing the music of 3Canal.
When you hear this music (for the first time) be prepared for a burst of rhythms that may confuse your senses. What should you do? Tap you feet, bubble your head or jump and get on bad... Whatever you choose to do it will be 'just right' for his musical madness - welcome to strength and powers coming down with all the rhythm that 3Canal can muster. So leh we go and have some fun with 3Canal. This is not just any show, it is 'The PappyShow' "where the more that you know is the less you know!" Just enjoy the music.
Now I know the entire post was spent on 'The Pappyshow' but there are two other songs released with the theme song. However, as you can tell I really like that song... yes I like people to Pappyshow (sometimes). Well the other two songs are included with the post for your listening pleasure. The songs are titled 'Sacrifice' and 'Work It Out'. A real fun song in 'The Pappyshow', a message to the nation with 'Sacrifice' and a serious one with 'Work It Out'. Indeed the Rapso rhythm makers have dropped something for everyone.
Production Notes:
The Pappyshow was produced by Gregg Assing; 'Work It Out' was produced by Greg Assing, written by W. Manwarren, S. Kewley and R. Roberts. This one was produced by Precision Productions. 'Sacrifice' was written by W. Manwarren, S. Kewley and R. Roberts and produced by Presision Productions.
