"Reveling" | Machel Montano, 2012

If you love Machel then you will love this song. However, now everyone will be enamored by the new sound of Machel. This one has a Jab riddim to it and could have some impact come carnival day.
The song has a story but this story may not be what most of the revellers are expecting from the King of Soca. As you can tell the music is heading in a different direction - do you like it? The name of the song is "Reveling" and is posted here for your entertainment. The vocal for this song were strong and typical of a Machel Montano song; the lyrics spoke of the revelers and their readiness to play mass and enjoy every moment of this joyful festive event called Carnival.

The lyrics are on track and deals with the topic of enjoying the festivities.  Now regarding the music, there is nothing special about the music and it can be considered sub par and lacking in depth.  This song will not see much airplay because there is nothing really catchy about it to hook the listener. I don't see this one getting much airplay especially after the carnival is done. This is a jab beat and there is nothing original about that. All in all it is a typical Machel production and worthy of an album filler role!
