This is not Carnival music but I am certain when she performs it for Carnival 2k12 it will have a strong Soca slant to appease those partying at home.
I love it that the singers are willing to take a chance and do something different. This will provide opportunities abroad that Soca alone cannot do...you just have to love it. At the same time the Calypso and Soca purists will cringe when they hear this one.
However, one has to always keep in mind that it is the youth today who will continue to be the driving force behind music sales. Give them what they want and spread your wings a little and success will eventually be achieved.
