Hell Yard Beetham - Gun Shots and Death!

One scene had Anderson 'Andy' Bynoe dead on the sidewalk next to Bhagan's drug store in Arima (I know that area well, I grew up in Arima), the other scene, because of the killing of Bynoe played out in the Beetham Estates, Hell Yard.  Apparently the police received a 'tip' from an eye witness that led to the interception of the car with the 'assailants' inside. According to the police they were fired upon and returned fire killing two persons - that was last Wednesday.  Today is Friday and the people of Beetham are upset.  Yesterday they blocked the Bus Route and the Beetham Highway.  Now this is a case of  'yuh damned if you do and yuh damned if yuh don't'. There are so many complaints about this "now lawless society" with the police caught in the middle of it all. I am not saying that the police are always correct but this crime scene needs to be examined closely. The persons shot in Hell Yard lived there! Every life lost is unacceptable but the lawlessness must stop - how this is going to be achieved is 'up in the air'.  There are many comments listed to the articles in the Guardian and Express newspapers, some very sarcastic. Who is right and who is wrong, and what is left for the rest of us trying to live honestly and without fear are questions brefuddling the society today. I have pasted three clips below  from articles linked to the killings. What is your opinion?
1.  "A white Nissan B-15 Sentra stopped outside the drugstore, police said, and two men came out the car, pulled out guns and walked over to Bynoe. They shot him several times at close range, and as he slumped to the pavement, the gunmen walked over to where he lay and shot him several more times, killing him on the spot.  Someone saw what happened and called the police's E-999 command centre. The command centre, in turn, alerted officers on patrol to be on the look-out for the white Nissan."
2.  "Around 11.15 p.m., the white Nissan was spotted by a group of Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) officers in the Beetham Gardens area, officers said. The officers went after the car and intercepted it at 18th Street, Beetham Gardens.  Police said four men came out of the car and started firing at them. The police fired back, hitting three men and two of them, Mauge and Roberts, fell to the ground."
3.  "Police said they seized a .38 pistol as well as a 9 mm handgun."
