There are a few upcoming Carnival celebrations in the Caribbean region that will keep the people of the region buzzing about new music releases. The music released from each region is a little different because of music styles and even because of the way we speak. However, Soca music crosses all borders and has also brought much contention regarding who has the best Soca muxic.
Power Soca, Groovy Soca or as they like to say in St. Vincent Ragga Soca the musical conversations will continue in the chat threads. Trinidad Carnival is over but St. Vincent and Grenadines, Grenada and Crop Over in Barbados are yet to come... there will be new music and we intend to bring it all to you.
Today we feature a sweet track from a son of the soil out of St. Vincent. This song, titled "When Ah Come" was released for the 2012 St. Vincent and The Grenadines Carnival and is sung by Raeon "MaddZart" Primus. This guy is no stranger to the music scene and is well respected in St. Vincent. He won the first ever Ragga Soca Monarch title in 2001 singing a song title "Poor People Anthem". MaddZart has done his share of touring and has performed on many countries including Barbados, North America, England, and Grenada to name a few. In 2001 he went on to win the Soca Monarch title of St. Vincent. He is a dedicated artiste and loves his music. Listen to the track and leave some feed back. Tell us what you think about the song.
