Machel Montano appeared via video to announce that the planned Carnival at Sea fete/event scheduled for May 2021 has been rescheduled to May 2022. Why? Simply put, it is because of concerns regarding the current pandemic, Covid-19. Machel looked relaxed as he spoke to his fans reassuring them that once the virus is under control that the event should take place in 2022.

“We have all been through a lot facing this global pandemic and being affected by it in many different ways,” he said, adding that he is hopeful that “better days are near and when it comes we would be ready to Melé.”

With the COVID-19 pandemic putting the world at a halt, Montano explained that he and his team were looking at May 2020, however conversations with the cruise line confirmed that 2022 was a more appropriate option.
“It is taking us some time but we are working with the cruise line to get the details right, the exact ship, destination, and everything that will make this new sail date an incredible experience while making everyone’s health a top priority,” Machel commented.
Machel has also guaranteed a refund to anyone who has placed a deposit and cannot wait until 2022 or cannot attend because of financial issues caused by the pandemic, no questions asked. Now that is great customer service!
