Baron's "Feeling It" is one of those songs that you really can't make better... it is sacrosanct! Baron's sweet sing style and the music brilliance of Leston Paul is legendary. So what can Swappi and the Ultimate Rejects bring to the table for a re-fix or remake of this classic song by Baron? This is called taking a chance and the outcome is left for you to determine if it makes the grade or hits the sweet spot.

So let's get to it.

This is new music, a remake of a classic song, for Trinidad and Tobago carnival 2020 by Swappi and the Ultimate Rejects. This is "Feeling It"; can you feel it?

Feeling it by Baron? Why? Isn't this the music my parents grew up listening? Duh, well yes, and they are still listening to the same music decades later! Feeling it by Baron is a classic and, as we mentioned in our opening statement... sacrosanct! Swappi and the UR are taking a chance with this remake. So, did they hit the sweet spot? First off, Swappi did the right thing by bring in Baron and the legendary Leston Paul into the project. Even as a cameo appearance Baron's place in the video is significant. Baron's sweet singing style can only be imitated by Sugar Aloes (yes Michael Osouna) so what can Swappi and the UR bring to the table? Simply put, create a feel that the young people can gravitate to and appreciate. Get away from the ballad style and add some pot to the vibe. Did they accomplish that, yes they did!

This is not your parent's version but one updated to draw into the narrative another generation of Soca Music lovers who all want to "Feel It". Both versions will live on and play-on engaging old and young and all in between. We love love and congratulate all those involved in this remake of Baron's classic "Feeling It". Swappi and UR... well done fellas!
