The country is buzzing with excitement; the entire country will be in 'fete-mode' tonight. People will be feting  all over Trinidad and Tobago tonight. However, not everyone will be feting with Machel, Kes and so many other Soca stars. Tonight many will be at home relaxing and watching the Dimanche Gras show. It is different this year but the essence of the evening will remain the same... celebrate our culture and usher in J'ouvert!

 

So let's say it again for those weeping overseas. It is the Sunday night before J'Ouvert morning and then the parade of the bands on the streets of Port-of-Spain and other areas in Trinidad and Tobago. 

The carnival celebration explodes in color and the brilliance of designers across Trinidad and Tobago. Then again, we have the Road March Title up for grabs with "Famalay" and "Savannah Grass" contending for that title. 

Tonight, however, we celebrate some of the achievements of this year's carnival. Winners for various categories will be on display. There will be several performances and a celebration of our culture in music, costumes sights and sounds. This should be a wonderful experience for all.
