Whoaa! Didn't we just criticize "Anytime" by Kalika B? Well, yes we did but sometimes you listen to a song and even though you may not be a fan of the lyrical content you realize that there is something that makes the song work.
So let's see if we can dig ourselves out of this hole. To be honest the music sold us on the song!
As mentioned above "Badjohn Republic" hooked us with the music but after listening to the song we realized that this guy's voice and singing style has staying power. The lyrical content could have been better but then again this guy will appeal to a youthful audience that will forgive/not take notice of the lack of lyrical creativity and fall in love with the music and hook... jiggle and all! So let's say it again, the music production hooked us first and then came the vocals; we will give the songwriters a mulligan for this one.
