Today we present a singer who may not be known outside of Trinidad and Tobago simply because his music was not available on-line (YouTube) granting easy access to his prowess as a Calypsonian. The name of the singer is Michael John aka Mr. Nature; his song is entitled "Black Attack".

Mr. Nature decides to tackle a subject that is a 'shadow' for people of color. Now when we say people of color we mean persons of African decent. Anything 'black' is a taboo subject with negative connotations attached to the work 'black'. This Calypso takes on the subject and in so doing draws you into the conversation (listen and we guarantee that you will find common belief with the lyrical content).

Talk about getting your money's worth... there is no shortage of wit or time with this excellent Calypso from Mr. Nature. This is New Calypso Music for Trinidad and Tobago Carnival to use the cliche... this is a big one!

The takeaway for us here at Sokah2Soca is 'don't let the programming lead you astray'. Learn to appreciate and love yourself and your strength and honor will cast aside those who only see a 'color' and not the man or woman of worth.
