Calabar Riddim | Various Artists | Trinidad & Tobago 2017


This is just a teaser as in "you ain't nothing but a  teaser". This one better be good, because sending out a teaser should signal something to look forward to hearing. The Riddim will feature five artists: Kingrilla, Swappi, Orlando Octave, Denise Belfon & Prophet Benjamin.

We will post the new songs when released. In the interim take a listen to the teaser and let us know if you approve. Take note that we have updated the post on 11/01/2016. The full versions of the songs have been posted after the 'teaser mix'.

Music Release Notes:
The concept of Trindad j'ouvert merging with a street party in Africa is a movie . The sound track came to Curtis "Melodyus" Scope in a dream now "Calabar Riddim" is ready for the showing . Melodyus recently signed with Central Records CEO Dale Ryan longtime friend of the producer always believed in his musicianship and is anxious to put him on .

Calabar (also referred to as "Canaan City") is a city in Cross River State, in south southern Nigeria. The original name for Calabar was Akwa Akpa, from the Efik language.The city is adjacent to the Calabar and Great Kwa rivers and creeks of the Cross River (from its inland delta).

In an attempt to make the cross river state the number one tourist destination for Nigerians and tourist all over the world. Calabar Carnival was formed and is now tagged Africa's Biggest Street Party .

Like Calabar Carnival the Calabar Riddim has the instrumentation and nuances to bring people together and its definitely going to be a favorite In some of the biggest street parties to come.
