New York Soca | Bunji Garlin | NYC 2016/Trinidad & Tobago 2017

Bunji Garlin just launched Brooklyn's Labor Day Carnival 2016 on the musical side of the festival! The Madderific lyricist from Trinidad and Tobago dropped a reflective time capsule track entitled "New York Soca".  It is officially time to vibez, wine and have a damn good time!

Sometimes it is a good thing to take a look back and reflect on a time when we were younger and full of life (shhh... we understand that you still have it going on). Times have changed and we have accrued experience, good and bad, that makes what is going on today worthwhile. Now regarding the song, musical minds have collaborated and delivered this song on a riddim that goes by the name "More Bash Riddim"; we think you will like the vibe, yes we do.  Indeed, it is time for Carnival Vikings to rise and freestyle with the Ragga Soca champion aka Mr. Bunji Garlin. Trini said it and it is indeed a  fact,... Tune Sweet and Riddim Mash UP!

The song is done 'freestyle' with Bunji doing what he does on so many radio station interviews. Consider this one a teaser for what is to come for Trinidad and Tobago's 2017 Carnival festival. In the mean time this one should do some serious damage in fetes starting tonight in Brooklyn. Enjoy the vibez!
