These are the songs on "The Buggy Riddim" released by producer Shawn "Mr. Roots" Mitchell. The songs were written by S. James aka "Problem Child" and Shawn Mitchell. The featured artists on the riddim are Patrice Roberts singing a song entitled "Di Most" followed b y Terror Kid with "Back So" and locking down the rear is Problem Child with one entitled "Buggy Ride".
The music on this this riddim is well suited for the bacchanal on the road especially for J'ouvert morning and as the Carnival comes to a close. This is not music for the fancy mas bands but has a jab style vibe in the music. On carnival Monday these song could dominate if they become well known.
This is a Grenadian production and it is not often that a riddim crosses the islands and wrecks havoc on Trinidad's Carnival. This is going to be an uphill task with only Patrice Roberts out of Trinidad on the riddim. Problem Child is well known but his 'call to arms' on this riddim is not good enough to 'take over' and lead the way!
Final words... good songs for Carnival Monday on the road. They will have to do some serious promotions to make this riddim popular. Why? Gosh there are so many music releases coming out daily. If your song does not make an early impact then it is destined to become yesterday's release with the newbies finding favor on the radio. Unless you are one who searches out music on the Internet you may quickly forget about this riddim. However, it will be a different story in Grenada!
