Extra Bad Pon De Road | Blaxx & Problem Child | 2014

This is new music for Trinidad and Tobago/SVG Carnival 2014. The artists on the track are Blaxx (Trinidad and Tobago) and Problem Child (Saint Vincent & The Grenadines). This song first appeared on an islandmix.com thread but initially did not grab much interest on the site. When I first played the song I immediately though about Madmen Productions music vibe. The artists and producers delivered an action packed song that should auger well for most Carnival revelers. However, I was not wowed by the song!

The hook to 'get on bad on de road' is a good one but the song as as whole did not make me want to call someone to remark, "big chune"! That did not happen! So what really happened? OK, as I mentioned previously it is a good song but I sense it would get lost in the deluge of music to come. I don't sense anything about the song that would create a stir and stir up the 'feters' to make this song their anthem. To be honest I have not heard a song that will do that yet! I heard some really good fete/part songs but nothing with the absolute "wow factor" yet. In my opinion we are still waiting on the big one!
