This is new music on the Island Zouk Riddim for the St. Vincent Carnival 2013. This popular festival, better known as Vincy Mas, is advertised as the "Hottest Carnival in the Caribbean"; and is about to explode with the release of new music for the upcoming festival. This song, titled "Prepare Fi D Wuk", was done by the artiste known as 'Royall' and is labeled as a 'Ragga Soca' flavor song (aka Groovy Soca).
Take a listen to the flavor of Vincy Soca and decide if their music can also be labeled as the "Hottest Music in the Caribbean". This is the second release that I have posted for the upcoming carnival and to be honest I don't think the music lives up to the hype of the name given to this festival. I am still waiting for something big for Vincy Carnival 2013. Trinidad and Tobago saturated the first carnival for 2013 with hundreds of hot music flavor. It will be difficult for the other festivals to do the same. There is still time... let's see if the rest of the region can 'bring it' the way the Trinis did for 2013!
Remember the name of the song and the artist because when the new music begins to 'drop' for the festival, the name of the song and artist may be quickly forgotten. Then again could "Ready Up" be the hook that catches the fancy of the feters? We will have to wait until the bid dance rolls around but this one has already been received favorably online.
