Nationality | Mongstar | St. Lucia Carnival 2013

Here comes the Lucians! Trinidad Carnival is not history but Trinidad's Carnival literally swamped the industry with loads of music. Does that mean the rest of the region was sitting idly twiddling their thumbs? No they were busy carving out their own music niche. Today we have a new release by the artiste known as Mongstar. The title of the track released is "Nationality".

As the name  suggests the song calls for national pride but he calls for it first from his fellow musicians and artists. He also celebrates the achievements of the country's cricket and other sporting heroes. In his song  he also celebrated the accomplishments of former Soca artists who laid the foundation for the singers of his current generation.

Mongstar concluded his song with a promise to continue flying the Lucian flag and blazing a trail for himself in the Soca music industry. This song should cause many Lucians to celebrate this artists efforts and make this song popular for Carnival 2013. He got his hook and with Nationality Mongstar has set the standard for others to emulate. Lucian Carnival launch 2013 take place on Sunday May 26, 2013. Another date to mark on your calender is Wednesday June 26, 2013 when the preliminary round of the Groovy Soca competition is scheduled to take place.
