It looks like Super Blue has already been crowned Power Soca Monarch for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival 2013. Just tonight in the WACK Radio Shout Box everyone behaved like they have already sipped from the "Fantastic Friday Koolaid Calabash"
.I don't see Super Blue taking that title because a studio recording does not translate to a Fantastic Friday Stage performance to win it all. That is where Machel Montano HD comes into play! Do you remember Pump Yuh Flag? Need I say more?
Machel Montano is yet to drop the big one and I am absolutely certain when it is released people will baptize it as a "Shit Song" (forgive the use of the word here). Float, Float on an so too will the crown float away with Machel.

I am on record here with my statements; and just remember what I said when he takes the stage and puts all the pieces into play. Some will be jumping in a frenzy and others, while tapping their feet, will refuse to acknowledge the impact the man had on the show. 

"Like we drinking helium! GET OFF DE GROUND, GET OFF DE GROUND" (Credit Lynch HD on the island mix thread). First thing you will hear is that he copied Fayann's song (remember the hook,  "drop on the ground and roll") then you will hear people say loudly, "dat song is pure shit". However, rest assured these very same haters will be in a band shouting in drunken stupor, "GET OFF DE GROUND, GET OFF DE GROUND, GET OFF DE GROUND"!

Machel Montano will win the Power Soca Monarch title once again; he is on top of his game and he knows how to motivate a crowd to do whatever he wants them to do. Super Blue will have to beat Machel with a cocoyea broom before the show and bring the magic of the glory days when 'Soca Baptiste' ruled to dethrone Machel on Fantastic Friday! 

So now we await the new song "FLOAT"... will it be the one or will the King of Soca be dethroned? My money is on Precision Productions and Machel Montano HD!

Everything you said is so true. People love to hate Machel but at the end of the day he is the best in the soca arena. He is head and shoulders above everyone and he is smart enough to hire the best writers and producers in the business. Can't wait for the official release of Float

Hey Anonymous you have every right to make that statement but I don't believe I drank too much of it... I still believe Machel will win. His greatest competition (if you listen to the talk on radio and on the web) should come from Super Blue. I don't think Super can pull it off. If he does I will be the first to say I was wrong... I feel confident that Machel will win again!Kool-Aid? LOL!

Im not counting Superblue out, yes he may not have the money to give us a presentation like machel will (mind you I think that's what it will come down to)but I will never count him out not after all the positive reviews on radio and social media. And whilst i'm writing this comment Float just premiered on the radio and no doubt it will win Roadmarch but i still think Superblue got the edge for Soca Monarch. what says you MM K-A lol?

Well I saw a clip of Super performing Fantastic Friday at 'Fire Fete' and because of what I saw I am very confident that he cannot dethrone Machel at that show. Presentation counts and Machel wins!

However, Super Blue needs to sing well and the video I saw helped with my thought process that Machel should do better than Super Blue...

Hey someone else could beat them both you know... anything is possible!
