Partier | 5 Star Akil | Trinidad & Tobago Carnival 2013

A 'Partier' is someone who frequents the bars and parties a few times a week but when the term is used in Trinidad it is typically in reference to feting and having a good time. This is not that different to what is done  elsewhere but West Indians party differently - we are 'Feters'! Now if you don't know abut feting then check out Benjai's song Feter to understand the term from a Trinidadian point of view.

If you love to have fun and attend parties, or as we say in Trinidad and Tobago fete ah lot, then you are a 'Partier'. Simple right, well now you have a song to 'party hard' and do what everyone likes to do in all those 'all inclusive fetes' - come and party nah.

I guess you can tell that this is just a fun song. Don't expect forward thinking lyrics or a way to life your life like like 'yuh' playing mas. No, no, no this song is simply one to go out there and have fun. Just dance the night away in typical Trinidadian style. Palance (the dance as in, party, lime and dance), jump and wave or simply shake something. Yes, it is one of those songs and all they want you to do is to party and have fun - just like that!
