This is a sweet traditional Carnival jam track. There is nothing fancy about the music production - they produced music to compliment the singing style of two very talented singers. "On It" features the voices of Stephen Marcelle and Terri Lyons. The song has a very traditional Soca Vibe with a small twist designed to make the music sweet. This song is very good but runs just under three minutes, that is not good enough for a track that has so much potential to do something good. The song should have run for just under four minutes giving everyone enough time really enjoy the vocals and music.
Both Steven Marcelle and Terri Lyons did a wonderful job on the vocal end but they should have done a little more with the lyrical content. After listening to the song it is easy to understand why it is on the 'Vice Riddim"! That aside they need to expand the song by creating a story line that could be followed by so many who go out there and get "On It"!
DNYC of VMP music productions did a wonderful job with the music. The production stayed out of the way of the singing and did just enough to highlight the vocal talents of the singers. The music was strong but harmonious and never overwhelmed the vocals. The production was clean and everything, taken in parts, worked well. I enjoyed listening to this production but it was too short!
