'Gyal Come' is the latest release from Mr. Renzo. The track has some serious talent behind the production with the lyrical content coming from the pen of the very talented Erphaan Alves and the production done by Precision Productions out of Palmiste, Trinidad.
This song is OK. I really did not get the feeling that this song has anything special about it. Yes, the talent pool is very good on this one but that does not always translate into a hit song. This song simply keeps Mr. Renzo on the music map with a new release. If he was putting together an album then this song would serve as a good album filler. Now this does not mean that the song is not good... it simply not good enough to impact the 2013 Trinidad and Tobago Carnival season.
Now I am absolutely certain that there are many out there who would disagree with me but just wait and see if the radio stations pick up on this song - I don't think they will. If you are a fan of Mr. Renzo, Erphaan Alves or even Precision Productions then you would be pleased with the production but that, as mentioned previously, does not translate into a hit song.
Pros:
Excellent talent pool behind this production. The song is promising and will have those who would love it 'simply because' it was done by Mr. Renzo. The music has a nice vibe to it and keeps a nice rhythm throughout the song.
Cons:
There isn't anything special about the song. It is just OK.
Bottom Line:
This is an album filler. As I said before there is nothing special about the song but it will have a legion of fans that will certainly love it. Apart from those adoring fans... this song will not do well with the general listening public.
