Dancefloor Cleaner | Duane Modeste | Trinidad 2013

'Dancefloor Cleaner' is the latest release from Duane Modeste, the son of Trinidadian singer 'Impulse'. This is  an old vibe with a new twist that incorporates a mixture of Rapso and Soca rhythms/musical styles to give you a new musical style that they have labeled Rapsoca!

Intuitive:
Zagada to the rescue - for this posting we consider  the term "dancefloor cleaner", as used in this song, a  "fashionably attractive young lady"! Now keep that in mind when to listen to the song again.

This style of music will succeed because it is a style that is familiar to the youth. The dancehall phenomenon that captured the youth is also tied into this new music style. They can use this style and harness the potential of the Rapso elements. They can also take the talents of the Calypsonians and tell stories using this very same Rapso element. Then again, the Soca beat that is interwoven in the rhythm of the music can also be used to generate the frenetic party style of the traditional Soca songs that throttle fetes across the land.

The song that is attached to this post is titled "Dancefloor Cleaner" and incorporates the dance flavor that this new musical flow can generate. It is a teaser selection but that does not mean to say that the Rapso element was shelved. As a matter of fact this track clearly shows how the marriage and new fusion can be easily accomplished. The music shifts from Soca to Rapso to give you the total package that is now called Rapsoca!
