I guess if you are feeling to groove in a party this one will surely fit in well but how it will do in a fete scene is questionable. I would venture to say that this one will do well in the club scene and for parties at home. However, when it comes to the fete scene I guess this one, in my estimation, is too laid back for the frenetic scenes that are the norm during the carnival season.
Now let's take a look at "Ah Feeling To" by Shurwayne using Zagada's four keys, in our view, to what makes a good production... Lyrics, Vocals, Music/Production and Replay Worthiness/Lasting Appeal.
Lyrics:
Lyrically this song has substance. It is not some fly by night constructed lyrical message that was put together hastily to drop on a Riddim- the writer of this one put some thought into the lyrical content and deserves some praise for a job well done. Shurwayne, with his smooth style, ensured that the lyrical content was understood; he never compromised his singing diction.
Vocals:
Shurwayne is a trusted and sure bet to deliver with his vocal performance. I am sure that you will not have any reason to complain with his vocal rendition here. He is supported harmoniously by a female who did a very credible job supporting Shurwayne on this one.
Music/Production:
Overall, I like the production but I am a little confused with the use of the bass on this one. It sounds like there is an echo on the bass (boom sound) that is a little distracting from the main vocals.
Replay Worthiness/Lasting Appeal:
This song gets high praise for an 'after the Carnival is over' push. I am not sure that it will do well for Carnival but surely this one will be heard all year round. It has a nice groove and can be played anytime, in and out of season, year after year. I have a good feeling that this song. This song is the real deal! It should have solid replay worthiness and, more importantly, will have lasting appeal.
