Yuh know on islandmix.com the new music is always played first on that site - just listen to the song and tell me if you heard it elsewhere prior to this posting! Now here is the question... who is Marilyn Rose? I listened to the song and decided to label it Alternative Trini Vibe although they chose to market it as a Soca Track!
The name of the song is "Where D Fete" and it is sounds like a Rapso/American riddim but apart from the Trini/American accent mixed up you have fete and other Trini activities spoken of and sung about on this track.
There isn't anything special about the vocals or the lyrics but I do like the music... there is something nice about the music. The production re: riddim, mixing and mastering get the thumbs up from me. The vocals and lyrics don't have anything to offer!
