Fya Empress is the Queen of Vincy Soca but lives with her husband in the beautiful island of Tobago. She won big in St. Vincent this year but has also won the Tobago Monarch title three times. Fya Empress not only represents St. Vincent but is now the adopted child of Tobago. Her music is totally influenced by her Fusion husband. I have categorized this one as 'Alternative TriniVibe' because I don't hear Soca! They labeled it Soca but surely this is not Soca! If you venture to say that it is a a fusion (as in Fire Fusion) of Rapso and Island Pop with a Techno slant I will tend to agree with that assessment. As I said before, the music for 2013 will blur the lines in the various music categories... this one clearly is an example of what is to come!
