CATCH ME | Krystal Khayne feat. Bunji Garlin | T'dad 2013

This is new music from Krystal Khayne with featured lyrical master-mind, the iSpaniard, Bunji Garlin. This is a September release for Carnival 2013 and there is one thing that you should take note of when you listen to the song. It is not Calypso, it is not Soca, it is not Rapso but is a track that has the flavor of what is now called Island Pop. This one in particular ranks as a Dance/Pop track. What, a Dance/Pop track released for Trinidad and Tobago's Carnival 2013?

Now don't say this is sacrilegious... far from that! The young people are looking into different styles of music and the music producers and artists are giving them what they want.

Now you can say that is not the case and put up for discussion that this is the work of the music producers whom are trying to change musical course. Change has arrived... it isn't coming, it is already here. Learn to embrace it because, like it or not, next year will feature various fusions of music that will definitely distort a standard music genre. There are songs that will be labeled Soca but truthfully will have nothing to do with Soca from the 70's, 80's or 90's. Call it "Futuristic Trini Soca" (©Mystie Thongs re: Precision Productions music) and get used to it... 2013 should be a mind blowing year for music from Trinidad and Tobago... it has already started!

The song presented here today is one that represents this new style of music that one can expect for Carnival 2013. This is not Soca... but I am sure you will enjoy listening to the iSpaniard on this one... this is Saga Ting music!
