If you were called upon to choose just one song that you considered the best song for Carnival 2012 what song would you choose? Well I know that many of you will go with one of the many soca tracks that were released for Carnival 2012. However, there are many music lovers out there who think differently... I am one of those and I may surprise you here with my pick but take a listen and feel what I feel. My selection for Carnival 2K12 is "Culture" by Roger George!
When one thinks about it I think Trinidad produced enough music this year to last a few carnivals or to put it this way there is no need for any new music for the rest of the year... Now don't get a stroke because of what I just said it was meant for emphasis. Yes to emphasize the the surprisingly wonderful productions that we got this year and the volume was unexpectedly delightful.
Now back to the discussion that I mentioned at the beginning of the post. What was your favorite song or if you had to pick one song that you consider is so special that you have to tap someone on the shoulder and say 'no pardner listen to chune of class'! I believer the song I chose by Roger George will become a classic. This song, to me, is so beautifully written and the music is just takes me on a ride to musical heaven. I just love it and I am posting it as my absolute favorite song for Trinidad Carnival 2012!
