This is the season for new music and we are inundated with new releases just about every day now. I can't even think about Parang. It is bad enough that the current State of Emergency has forced the Parang people to start competition at 4:00 pm but to compete against the deluge of new Carnival music is a task.
Having said that, I will not post a new track for this post but I will remain stalled in the Soca theme. I am not even going to do a Parang Soca (by the way, watch out for my Grenadian Parang Soca post... Coming soon!) but I want to go back to the year 2008.
I was recently listening to some of Machel Montano's music and loved the tracks on the Wining Season offering. Well I want you guys to listen to the song "Wining Season" once again. This one was produced by Dwain "Dwaingerous" Antrobus; Machel Montano and Urales Vargas. The track was released on 12" Vinyl on the MM Records label. This is the remix version with Shaggy guesting on the track. It is still sweet even with the new releases coming on strong - So let's wheel it and come back again.
