I am listening to this song by Kes the band as I write this post. I first heard this song while reading threads on Islandmix. My initial take on the song was that it was OK, just another typical Kes production. At that time, listening to the song on my computer speakers, I was not impressed. I said that it is a good song and will be played on the radio but will not be a hit for Carnival 2012. Well I have to rethink my position. Why?  Well...

Here is the deal. As I write the post I am listening to the track with my headphones on. My headphones are very good and with the music locked in between my ears my brain now has a different feel for/of the song. Now don't misunderstand me here, I still don't know if this will be a hit... it has to be promoted properly like everything else. However what got me was the beautiful thumping base of this song. Kes, the singer, was up front and center and was good. Something about the music hooked me while listening to it on my headphones. Initially, when the song started, I thought abut Kerwin Du Bois... just a feeling I got while listening to the song. This may not score in the Caribbean but it just may capture the hearts of  the Europeans!

I am a consumer of music just like most of you out there and maybe it is just the mood of the situation that may dictate how one feels about a certain song on any given day. I will give this song a pass and will keep an ear open to listen to the feedback it gets regarding radio play.

Oh well here it is ... Thumbs UP!  Yes you can say it,  I backpedaled on this one if you do come across my posting on Islandmix.
