I have decided to do this post because of a friend in Miami. He loves our culture and laments the fact that the music today does not tell a story, it does not capture you and makes you think, smile or even light up you senses as a good traditional Calypso can do.

The calypso is part of a 1998 live recording of the Lord Kitchener's Calypso Revue. There are fifteen songs listed on the CD but I liked the song listed last - "Ish" by Sugar Aloes. This Calypso has relevance today because of the recent ruling of a high court judge barring the extradition of Ish Galbaransingh/Steve Ferguson to the United States for trial. I know that you would love this song Dorrick and it is posted here today for your listening pleasure.
