Do you like to double talk or are you a straight shooter? Do you speak with honesty and are you direct when speaking to your friends and family? If you answered yes to any of the above then "Yuh doh put water in yuh mouth to talk".
"Look ting" and yuh know now is the time to look into the mirror and watch as you lie through your teeth after answering "yeah" to the first paragraph. To be honest I consider myself a prankster and a person who sometimes likes to create "comess" for fun and sometimes for the hell of it. However, I don't ever have malicious intentions - eh eh not meh I don't consider myself a 'trouble-maker'. However, a little mischief, well placed, can make a dull segment very interesting indeed. In such a case it may generate sub-talk or conversation that addressed some ''discomfort' or weakness in a line of conversation that originally was contemptuous or simply malicious.
In today's society, it is rare to find people who tell it like it is. In other words, people who talk straight, speak with honesty, and are direct - in other words, to the point. When I decided to do the "yuh is ah Trini series" I found several lists too many to mention with snippets of "Yuh is ah Trini" sayings/posting. However, one site caught my attention because there were short explanations of the posted material - something that was lacking in most of the other sites. The site is "1D4TW - One Day for the Watchman". I liked the link and decided to use some of the 'words of wisdom' to create my posts. Another interesting site is Conversational Trini which has some good and short explanations with further links for reading.
Did you see what I did? Now that was straight talk, and with honesty and with links to ensure that the facts can be reviewed - that was direct enough, don't you think so?
