Dasheen Plant (Taro) - Food we all love Part 3: Tea!

This third post on the Taro Plant (Dasheen) is unusual for me and most Trinidadians but I came across it while researching information and thought is was interesting enough to create a third post. Of course it is another method of using the Dasheen root but one that is 'foreign' to many Trinidadians. However, if you came across the  use of the dasheen in this manner please leave a comment.  I am unaware of this form of the dasheen in my native Trinidad and Tobago.
I came across these recipes from a site named NutOnline. Taro Root Powder is used in many traditional Asian desserts and Hawaiian poi. This mix is especially good for smoothies and bubble tea. I also found a site that sells the powder (2.2 lbs for $15.00) that can be accessed from this link: Ten Tea  The following recipes provide the opportunity to experiment - I will try the bubble tea experiment first... Hey you never know, a new form of entrepreneurship could evolve for the Trinidad and Tobago dasheen market.
